So I'm only a couple weeks into this game, but so far it's amazing. The fact that this game is a one person project is honestly mind blowing. There's definitely enough content to keep the game interesting for a good while. Another thing about it is there are no ad's, and you are never bothered by "in-game shop" reminders, you can literally play for free **I highly encourage those that enjoy the game to make at least one purchase, as there are develop and run costs for online games like this**
I must say, this is the closest realistic city building I've ever played. Ads: so far I haven't seen any ad pop-up during gameplay. Gameplay: The game teaches you how to do the basics. It shows you how to build mines and creat and sell products from mines/factories. It's a bit low as you learn the gameplay, but it will be much faster once you've learn the basics of the game. Great game!
Resources plays well, interface is good, community seems to be fairly cohesive. Except that there are two serious QA related issues: twice a year due to the time change Resources won't run, and now has a serious bug that crashes the Resources client when attempting to run it. Bugs happen but this is badly maintained software. Its now been 24 hours since the bad build and no news or fix.
Resources is an interesting game in that at first, there isn't much to it, but then it quickly can skyrocket if you want it to. The gameplay loop remains relatively the same from day one: Scan location, find resources, build mine, convert raw goods, sell production, upgrade, do it all again; it's the global economy aspect that makes it so fascinating. There's always numbers to chase, players to meet, and this app makes one great digital bread crumb trail when hiking lol
I love this app besides the lag when I'm trying to scan for mines. That is frustrating as hell. One thing I can say is don't accept missions that you are not sure you can complete. It will definitely cost you. And don't accept missions and then not get on for a few days. It is a game that needs your attention every day. You can fall behind before you know it.
A complex and compelling game, fitting a unique niche on the mobile market. As a GPSMMO, it rewards real-world exploration and enables players to build the game world and interact with an international base of players, to include PvP. As a clicker, it provides the satisfaction of incremental upgrades and expansion. Overall, this is a perfect game for someone who wants to have a chance to play competitively without spending too much time on a mobile game. Still playing on day 1,594! ;)
Exactly what I was looking for in a GPS game. It's pretty cool to be able to build mines around my town. Edit: It's hilarious to read all the one star reviews because people are mad they can't spoof their location in the game. Duhhhh, that's called cheating. If you don't have the time to walk around or have a friend drive you around - then you should not be spending your time and money on a LOCATION-BASED game. Especially not this one.
2nd time around the game is even better. Great job on design, planning, and of all things it's completely free. Spend cash for extras that can be obtained with little patience and some walking shoes. Defending is really easy as the mines aren't destroyed quickly. Still lots of room for new entrepreneurs to drop mines everywhere 3rd time around, and I am surprised how much better it is. Good job Developer!
The perfect treadmill. There's always leaderboards to chase and never any regrets because you end up in better shape for it. This game is walk to win. You also need to do some maths in order to progress optimally. It is also possible to go bankrupt if you are ignorant. Supply and demand economy. There are price controls at the low end. But nothing to stop the high end. Your game experience will vary depending on how many players are in your area for resource competition.
It's amazing! ONCE I FINALLY GET INTO THE GAME!!! I am always having trouble when I have to re-log into the game with my Google account, but it never works even though it has always worked in the past. The game says there's something wrong on MY end, but I know that can't be true since I have used that same account for many other apps in the past. Please fix this bug before I lose all my factories... again.
Absolutely amazing game. Lately when I open the game it gets stuck on the loading screen which is really frustrating. I love the game because I can be efficient with resource allotment, but I am getting held back on potential resources not being able to open the game. Has been fixed!
Never would I think I could play a game for so long. I have been playing for about 3 years and I still enjoy this. It's not a intense game at all but man is it satisfying. The more you play the more you understand what to do. It's not the easiest to learn but once you get it you get it. They have changed the game so you cant just beg and not many people liked that change but it makes sense and has cleaned up the chat. Only downfall is that you can tell it's a small developer not many updates
Fun game if you travel a lot and like resource management. But you have to have patience to play. Between stuff not working or the game locking up with a stupid spinning circle consider yourself lucky if you can be doing stuff for more then 10 mins without having to close and reopen game. Usually wont even go over 5 mins without needing a close and reopen. Been this way for years no matter the phone or service provider.
At first it was difficult to understand how the game works. But when I got into it - it was fun. Now 2.5 months in, in my view the downsides are using API costs. As well drone construction apparently costs and has limits. Not too bad but anyway. I already supported the game buying things, but I believe the game would earn more adding a subscription to get a bit better range to construct and other small perks.
Completely ad free with long-term playability. No pay to win or pay to play. If you like management style games and location based play you will absolutely love it. Bit of a steep learning curve at first but the player base is active and always happy to answer questions in chat.
this game is great! just don't spend any money on it. they give bans like candy. I've tried contacting support but no response so far. I played for over a month it was amazing I spent some money and now I can't play because a cloud blocked my cell service. game needs some fixing *support responded. I got banned for a really weird thing that is vaguely listed in the terms and conditions. support is helpful though. ill add 3 stars.
None stop issues, map brakes when you try and change resources. When trying to do anything it's just an error message. Made several accounts to just have them blocked after swapping to WiFi at home after being outside on mobile data. What a mess. Waste of time!
well I can't believe it's been over 10 years since I first played this game. the amazing community was great at helping me get my feet on the ground also shared some tips they learned along the way. it's very easy to understand. a lot of features, you can choose to keep busy, chill, or plan for an upgrade. The community helped get some ideas to change game play for the better, it was awesome getting to see them happen in real time and the developer actually listened to the needs of everyone.
Absolutely love this game It's fun I've been playing it for years now. It feels so real. I don't have as much time now to go out and set up mines to try to grow my mining output but I still maintenance the minds that I do have and build refineries to produce more output and grow the company. This is by far one of my favorite and most long-lasting games. If you're looking for a game to not just have fun but meet new people and get out there This is the game for you.
Amazing game! great to play when your on the road, building mines, visiting friends or family, I definitely reccomend this game to all the people who need a thing or two to do when your in the car on a road trip, or even just going down to the grocery store
